Your first visit

Your first with us will consist of diagnostic digital x-rays. These are taken as a preliminary examination of bone structure as well as indicating decay. All patients over 18 will also receive a complete periodontal charting to measure pocket depth surrounding each tooth. If, after these to assessments are made the Dr. finds your bone and periodontal structure to be healthy, the hygienist will at that time clean your teeth and the doctor will do a comprehensive dental exam for restorative work needed. If, at that time you require more extensive periodontal therapy, the hygienist will detail to you the next steps needed to help regain healthy oral tissues.

Digital X ray

Using digital x-ray technology enables you, the patient, to easily see what the doctor diagnoses. This x-ray technology also reduces the amount of radiation you receive while the x-rays are taken.

Dental Laser Technology

The Dental Health Group may utilize the dental laser for some surgical procedures such as a frenectomy, gingivectomy, and crown lengthening and crown and bridge preparation. This reduces trauma to the tissues affected and promotes better healing.

KCP (Kinetic Cavity Preparation.)

A microscopically fine powder is carried to the tooth by a stream of air and this air abrasion technology enables us to treat decay often without anesthesia. This micro abrasion reduces the amount of healthy tooth removed to place a tooth colored filling.

Electric Hand pieces

We utilize the electric hand pieces for many of our large procedures. This eliminates the noise associated with the air driven dental drill. The preparations can be cut in less time as well.
